Census figures put Maryland on top

According to 2006 Census Bureau figures Maryland tops the list of states for median household income at $65,144.00. For comparison, census figures put the United States 2006 median household income at $48,451.00.

Areas of interest- for areas with populations greater than 225,000 people, Plano Texas -$77,038.00, San Jose - $73,804.00, and San Francisco - $65,497.00 were all top earning areas.
